My name is John Clifton, president of Biggin's Signature BBQ Sauce. I've been making barbeque sauce for 25 years, and finally got it down to a fine art. I always made BBQ sauce at gathering of all my family and friends.
Then about four years ago I was told that I have type 2 diabetes. I had to start to watch my sugar intake and take a pill twice a day to control my diabetes. Of course, that stopped me from having any more BBQ sauce. Because the BBQ sauce was filled with brown sugar and molasses along with other things that as diabetic I couldn't have anymore.
So, for a while I just didn't make my BBQ sauce. Now that didn't last very long, because I love to crank up the old smoker and have all my family and friends over for BBQ's at the home front on the weekends. Besides that my best friends weren't getting my sauce either. (continued)
